We have put some of your questions to Debbie and Maria see there answers below

How long have you been together?

Debbie: - We Have been together nearly 4 years in Feb

Maria:- Debbie and myself have been together for 3 years 10 months and about 2 weeks To bloody long lol

How long have you both been at the new foresters?

Debbie:- Working here over 5 years - Drinking on and off 24 years

Maria:- Same as the first answer to long lol it will be 4 years on the 6th January 2007 not bad considering I had never done the job before and I am still here.  

Debbie and Maria when you first come here what was the pub like?

Maria:- I remember before Debbie took over I didn’t dare look at anyone nine out of ten they would come up to you and ask you what you looking at. But now it’s warm and a friendly place, I see people coming in on here by themselves and are able to talk to the staff  and we introduce them to other customers.  I have been known to have started a few romances in the time I have been here.  

Debbie:- I’ve seen the pub go though up’s and downs- personally found it very violent always seemed to be the girls.  

Do you both think it has changed in the last 5 years?

Debbie:- Oh yes

Maria:-  Yes, We have a better clientele, a good mixture of people from Lesbians, Gay men, Bisexuals and straight people and they all get on with each other.

What has changed?

Maria:- I have bigger boobs (think that is the workout Debbie has been given them) People in general are more relaxed.

Debbie:- Hardly any trouble now, Fantastic atmosphere think that is because everybody is enjoying themselves and on in life.  

Do you like working at the New Foresters?

Debbie:- Absolutely love it, best job every

Maria:- What your having a laugh lol the true is yes I do, I love having a laugh with the customers.

Debbie You Recently won The best pub in Nottingham away how does that make you feel.  

Debbie:- Fantastic feeling.  I am so proud of the pub, staff and the customers.  

Maira, You and Debbie and some other people have just done a bike ride to Skegness. Why Skegness?

Maria:- It was Debbie, Tabby, Lamur and myself.  Debbie and I did it last year and it’s only 86.4 miles.  

Debbie:- Not my idea I just followed nearly killed my,  only joking.  

This is not the first time you have done it how many times have you done a sponsored bike ride?

Maria:- This is the second time, Yeah I know must be F**king mad at my age.  

Debbie:- This is my second time as well the first time I only did 40 miles I’m not as fit as Maria.  This time did it all the way- never again.  

How much have you raised?

Both:- About £500 pounds.  

You have chosen Aids hardship fund and cancer to donate the money to.  Why these charities?

Maria:- Aids can affect anyone weather they are gay come from a poor country etc. So we need a cure for everyone.  Cancer Again can affect anyone it has no bound’s on who it will attack.  

Debbie:- I feel the same as Maria but any charity is a good cause don’t need excuse or reason to do something good.  

Will you be doing it next year?

Maria:- Am planning to bike to Mablour Thorpe for a change, Why who wants to join me?  

Debbie:- No sorry but I will be the safety driver.  

When will that be?

Maria:- When the weather is warmer hate the cold.  

What is your favourite night at the Foresters?

Debbie:- I Love Halloween and Cabaret Nights

Maria:- F**k known’s so many New Years eve it’s long hours and hard work but it’s also fun,  All the staff get half an hour off to the New Year in with there partners and Friends.  It’s a really good night.

What do you both like to do when you are not working at the New Foresters?

Debbie:- Football, Pictures eating out, Chilling, Making love.......... When we get the time lol

Maria:- I enjoy sports going to Pictures, Vegging spending time with my granddaughter and my partner.   

Finally what do you drink?

Debbie:- John Smiths can’t beat it

Maria:- I’ve Just changed from drinking vodka to wine and soda s trying to loose weight. Who said that.
